Protocol Governance & Fee Adjustment Clause
The initial promotional processing fee for KAY Coin payments is set to 0% to drive ecosystem adoption. KayPay reserves the right, through future protocol updates, merchant staking requirements, or governance proposals, to adjust fee tiers, introduce minimal platform service fees, or implement merchant staking thresholds (e.g. requiring merchants to stake 10,000 KAY to permanently maintain 0% fees) to fund long-term network security, infrastructure development, and validator operations.
Standard non-KAY cryptocurrency payments (BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT, SOL) incur a standard 0.8% KayPay processing fee (99.2% merchant settlement / 0.8% protocol fee).
